Week 10 - Polka Dot

Has this challenge become a burden?
Don't get me wrong, I still love nails! I've just been spending more effort on buying, organizing, and stalking lately.  I don't find that the challenges are overlapping with ideas I have at the time.  I just did this while testing new colors, and wiped it off.  Is that wasteful? These are two of my favorite recent acquisitions, I'll show you the rest in a haul post soon!

Essence - The Dawn is Broken, Two coats
Funky Fingers - Kenyan Sunset, one coat
Base: Sally Hansen Quick Care Growth Treatment
Top: NYC - Grand Central Station

I know there's a separate "dotticure" challenge later, so I don't think this week's challenge was targeted towards dotting tools.  I'd have used the polka dot pattern from plate m79 but I don't have it.  Apparently I did buy it in the summer from BornPrettyStore (referral), but I've never seen it.  I must have been really out of it, because I didn't even remember buying it.  I guess it's too late to complain about it, so I'll have to rebuy it.  It's really aggravating because I love that plate, and I paid for it...sad.  Sad, sad, sad.

Also, I received dotting tools from eBay just in time for this challenge - but! I gave them to a friend so we could split, then forgot to take some back home.  So I used the head of a round pin.  I'm such a waste!

If Kenyan Sunset looks familiar, that's because it's exactly the same as Color Club - Wild At Heart.  Color Club, Finger Paints, and Fresh Paint are all from the same company.  I'm so into this color, and need to show it to you alone!

  5. Kenyan sunset is gorgeous! As for the challenge, I do them when I have no inspiration or feel too lazy to think of something... So in one week I might get 2 or 3 week's worth of challenges done! maybe you could try incorporating the challenge themes into your nail inspiration
